Cinetoko 30

On Wednesday 12 november starting at 20:00, Cinetoko organises another fresh and unconventional cinematic evening with three guest speakers: Fromform, Ruben van Leer and Marlies van der Wel. Get ready to be surprised by three inspiring talks about the process of creativity in its various forms. The evening will be hosted by video artist Puck Verkade in the Club Room of Korzo. After the talks there’s room for drinks and a chance to ask your big questions.

As a bonus, we kick-off the evening with Grofgebekt – a short compilation of Dutch cinema that pays hommage to the typical Dutch way of expressing feelings and emotions in films. Caution: strong language involved!

FromForm

Fromform is a Rotterdam based film & design studio founded by Jurjen Versteeg, Ashley Govers and Wouter Keijzer. With backgrounds in filmmaking, interior design and advertising, Fromform creates complete productions whether it’s short film, title design or commercials.

Ruben Van Leer

Ruben van Leer works as an artist and creative director from his studio in Amsterdam and New York, writing concepts, directing films and bringing different art and science forms together to research tomorrow’s necessities in an ever expanding technological world.

Marlies Van Der Wel

Marlies van der Wel is a Dutch animator and illustrator, working from her own studio based in Amsterdam. Started in 2007, working on both commercial as personal projects she is now fully dedicated on her own short animated movie Zeezucht.
