The Desk

Earlier this year I visited the Frankfurt Musikmesse and discovered an Italian studio furniture company called Zaor. The had a few of their desks on display and I was immediately sold. Great quality materials and great craftsmanship. I knew this would be a dream to work at.

There where two desks that got my specific attention, Aria and iDesk. I don’t remember what the price tag said exactly, but I do remember feeling rather disappointed. But after taking a closer look at the website I found out the pdf’s include somewhat of a building plan.

And because there’s nothing like building stuff yourself, well besides being able to just go out and buy it of course, I’ve decided to build the Aria desk myself. I’ve got the plans, and it will all be done in MDF. The first pieces of board have been cut and are being worked on right now. I will upload pictures of the whole process in a short while.

Getting things sorted

Currently I’m running two website, one of which is this one, the other is kusanagi.nl. Because I didn’t really use this domain I thought I’d get rid of it. But eventually changed my mind, so here’s the deal.

Kusanagi.nl is and will continue to be the ‘corporate’ website for all commercial stuff I’m releasing under the Kusanagi sound design label. The tutorials will remain over there.

This will be my personal weblog where I share my thoughts and some of the other projects I’ll be working on.
